I think that leafwings, skywings, and possibly seawings and viewings have some kinda common ancestor

Based off of freedom’s discretion it’s not fair off to assume that leafwings and skywings do share ancestors. But we know for a fact that skywings, at least to some extent have animus dragons (although they do try their darnedest not to)

For skywings we can assume that their animus gene is spread out through the tribe but isn’t dominant (as they kill off the dragonet that are animus but that doesn’t get rid of the gene over all. Sense generations can happen without an animus)

The only other tribes with animus genes are seawing and icewing royalty (and then also Whiteouts descendants but that originated from icewing royalty. And I’m not gonna count Jerboa ((the og)) because I think that she got it from the icewing or seawings as there are no other know sandwing animus dragons)

NOW BACK TO WHAT I WAS SAYING- But Albatrosses is a great example of why seawings may share common ancestors with icewings. As he had a more pale coloring, Anemone is also a good example with her paler scales.

And drawing skywings back into this- Peril and Sky have blue eyes Seawings and icewings can have blue eyes as well. And we’ll, yea you could make the argument that peril had blue eyes as blue fire is the hottest, But then why does sky have blue eyes? Should it make more sense if he had pale yellow or red instead of blue?

I also would love to point out that seawings and icewings (in the past) only had/have animus dragons in the royal family, where as skywings don’t. The reason for this I’d assume is because the common ancestors, as the split into the tribes animus dragons became the dominant royalty in the icewing and seawing tribes, but what was becoming the skywing didn’t, or there were no animus and esters of theirs at the time

It also explains why skywings dispose of animus dragons. It’s not just marking sure the dragon eat can never do harm as adults, but also to keep any of them from trying to take the thrown. Hmmm doesn’t that sound a bit familiar? RIGHT Darkstalker, although he’s from a different tribe skywings are trying to prevent their own Darkstalker from happening
