Everyday when I get out of bed, I put on a mask And hide the monsters inside my head; And get ready for my next task; I wear this mask of happiness, People around me smile and laugh, But I hide from everyone my distress; And I follow them down the path; Guilt, anxiety, and many more. Are hidden behind this coverup; Waiting for me to open the door; Waiting for me to screw up; But I just smile and ignore it, And they just go behind the mask and sit.
