LinkHe's only snarling defensively, his backstory is pretty bad so he assumes you would hurt him at first sight
Ryder would approach him, cautiously. Sniffing him, and sensing his pain.
Ryder slowly went around hom, using his paw to point to the trap. "Hey, I'm tryna help."
Nico straightened to stand normal giving a distrustful glare "Why?"
Ryder tilted his head, "because you need help. You're stranded here, and they way you look, who knows what hunters are coming for ya."
Nico looks as him sucpiciously but stops trying to get him to back off
Ryder used his large paws and teeth to open the trap. He struggled with and looked around. "How can i... " Ryder spotted a stick, and lodged it into the trap. "This might hurt." He said as she pried open the trap.
Nico yelps in pain "Gah!!!" He jumped back away from the trap
Ryder sat down, panting a little. "Told you." He said, looking at Nico's injury.
Nico winced when he put weight on this foot, "Lets just hope I don;t have to learn how to balance witout another foot.."
Ryder approached him, "I can help with that." He gestured towards a bag he was carrying.
"A medical bag."
Ryder motioned for Nico to sit down, and he opened the bag with his paw.
Nico went closer and sat down in front of Ryder wincing as he did
Ryder got some alcohol and bandages and fixed up Nico's leg, inspecting it closely. "Dont walk on it for aboutta week."
Nico stood up and tried to walk without using the injured foot and lost balance, falling on the ground, "This is gonna be fun." he said sarcastically
Ryder went to his side, and nudged him up, helping him balance. "Theres an abandoned cabin not far from here. You can rest there and I can help you."
Nico stood again and nodded, "Thank you," he was greatful, but didnt know how he felt being stuck in one place for too long, not that he really had a choice
Ryder started to walk through the forest, helping Nico keep his balance. "No problem. I'm Ryder. You are?"
"The name's Nico," he kept up, being careful no to trip and bring them both down with him (lol)

Ryder took note and continued walking, following a narrow path.
Nico felt a loos rock under his paw and started "Fu-" they fell before he could actually curse (that was my idea lmao)
Ryder landed on his back, Nico on top of him. "Ow, what the-" He stopped when he saw Nico. "Err sorry-"
Nico scrambled off him, stumbling more when he stood, "Don't apologize, I'm the one who fell" he looked a little embarrassed
Ryder stood up, nodding his head. He looked embarrassed and slightly blushed. "Er.."
Nico "H-How far to that C-cabin again?" he was a little flustered
Ryder laughed and started walking towards Nico. He leaned against him, to help him walk and started walking towards the direction of the cabin. "Its not far."
Nico, "Well, rolling down a hill is one way to get there faster at least," He laughed
