|.| Brindleflight slowly arose as she heard PowderStep awake. She yawned, stretching out her long legs as she basked in the dawn sun. |.|

|-| ‘’Quite lovely, I could do with a nice large hare right now. I still Need to send out hunting patrols.’’ Brindleflight replied, licking her lips at the thought of fresh kill. |-|

/ Dogpoppy arose from her slumber, shaking off snow that was left on her pelt. She padded out of her den, breathing in the cold and fresh air. \

|-|Brindleflight followed her, walking into the camp clearing. “Silversplash, PowderStep, your on hunting patrol. I’ll go with you.” Brindleflight called out in the clearing. |-|

/ Dogpoppy decided to go on a walk, it was a nice day and it didn't seem it would be snowing any time soon. \

Winterwillow was in Gelidclan's camp clearing, watching some clanmates move about. The warrior thought to himself, *Maybe I should try and be productive too.* It felt like he should pull his weight. With that, he looked around to see if there was anything he could do to help out.

|-|Brindleflight nodded towards the cave entrance. “You lead this patrol PowderStep. Where are we gonna hunt?” She asked the two cats. |-|

|-| “Good idea.” She nodded in agreement, walking away from the patrol to search for prey. She sniffed the air, crouching as she smelled a hare, which stood scavenging for berries a few tail lengths away. She slowly stalked towards the hare and pounced, killing it with a swift bite. |-|

/ Dogpoppy noticed a small bird on the ground pecking away at the bugs. She crouched and sneaked towards it, then leapt towards it, pinning it down before it could fly away. She bit its neck, killing it, then walked away with it, trying to find somewhere to eat. \

Winterwillow ended up finding little things to do in camp, as he found himself back in the center of the camp clearing. *Darn.* The warrior let out a little sigh, thinking about how weird he seemed, moving from den to den. At this rate, maybe he'll just head out..?

/ Dogpoppy carried her bird to a tree, dropping it. She began to eat it, after she had got done, she buried the remaining's under the snow. She looked up, wondering what she should do now. \

Winterwillow decided to leave camp, slipping out through the entrance. Aware that there was a hunting patrol that set off recently, he wandered off in another direction. *I shouldn't disrupt their hunt,* the warrior thought to himself. As he moved past sycamore(?) trees, some of the snow slid off from a branch and fell onto the poor tom. "Ah- pfffffghghg-" Startled, Winterwillow shook himself free of the snow. *Well, that was lovely.* (lol ok! and uh you can say Dogpoppy heard him if you want!!)

/ Dogpoppy heard a voice, one she didn't recognize, she growled lowly, looking out and around. "Who is there?" she asked the voice, or perhaps cat. \

Winterwillow froze for a few moments, now aware he wasn't alone in the forest. After brushing off the rest of the snow, he scented the air. Sure enough, over the smell of frost and sycamore, was the scent of another cat... one that wasn't a part of Gelidclan. He turned in the direction of Dogpoppy and started moving again- slowly this time. "Uh, I'm Winterwillow of Gelidclan!" he answered, not wanting to start a fight with the outclanner. "What are you doing here..?"

/ "Clan cat I suppose. There is no need to know anything about me, but the question is what are you doing out here all by yourself?" she replied, lashing her tail. \

Winterwillow's ears twitched nervously, knowing he'll have to be careful with his words. "Well," he started, "I wanted to go out and maybe hunt by myself... Or something." It didn't seem like he could do much in camp anyway. But obviously, he wasn't doing great so far. *I'm still not used to all this snow.* "Can I at least know your name, miss?" He asked, not wanting to refer to her as "outclanner" or "rogue."

/ She thought about it for a moment and finally answered, "Dogpoppy." she said. "My name is Dogpoppy." \

"Dogpoppy's a cool name..!" he complimented, glad he was making some progress. Winterwillow wondered if it had any meaning. "How long have you lived around here, these parts?" he questioned. Was he asking too many questions? He felt like he was.

/ "I came here a few moons ago." She continued, "It's cold, yes, but I like it here. It's better than.. erm.. never mind." She shook her head, shaking the bad thoughts away. \

Winterwillow’s smile vanished when the other trailed off, but he chose not to question her about it. It must be personal stuff. “Ah, okay then,” he mewed. “I came here a few moons ago too. I was in a forest like this, but with WAY less snow.” The warrior wondered how his clan mates adapted. Hoping to lighten the mood again, he added, “It feels like every time I go out here, snow gets dropped on me.”

/ Dogpoppy chuckled, "That must only happen to you." She laughed at the thought of snow getting dropped on him every time. \

"It's a very... embarrassing curse to have," Winterwillow said with a small chuckle of his own. "It's weird though, because I try hard not to stomp around. And it still happens." With a twitch of his whiskers, he mewed, "Consider yourself lucky for not having this curse." "If I may ask, was your old territory this snowy..?" Winterwillow questioned out of curiosity.

/ "It wasn't this snowy, but we did get snow sometimes. In fact, it rained most of the time." she answered. \

Winterwillow listened along. "Oh, okay," he mewed. He wasn't a huge fan of rainy weather, so he wondered what it was like having to deal with a constant downpour. "Mine was just... forest. Clear skies most of the time for me and my old Clan..." He trailed off with a slight droop of his ears, remembering some unwanted memories. "Heh, yeah."

/ Dogpoppy tilted her head when he trailed off. Did he have bad memories too? Maybe they had somethingin common? She decided to change the subject. "Y'know, I don't get to meet other cats that much. Thank you for your company.. Winterwillow, was it? I enjoyed it very much." \

"Yeah, Winterwillow...!" he confirmed with a slight perk of his tufted ears. "And thank you, Dogpoppy, for the company too." It was nice making new friends... Or acquaintances in this case? But by the sound of it, it seemed like Dogpoppy had things to get to. "So I'm guessing this is a goodbye?" he mewed. Of course, he did have duties to get to anyway.

/ "Hm, I guess so. See you sometime?" she purred. \

Winterwillow blinked in surprise, before a smile reformed. This means that they may get to meet again one day!! He couldn't help but feel a little happy at that, and he also felt proud for making friends here. "Yeah," he agreed. "Bye, Dogpoppy...!" With that, he began to walk off in one direction, feeling a little better than before.

/ Dogpoppy smiled a little herself. She turned around and headed into the opposite direction. \
