"you don't have to be scared of me," he says menacingly. jake chases around the rock and grabs siren close to him

jake grabs her again, but tighter. "you look nice today" he says, eyeing her up and down. "please stop" siren says. "ah, but we're ALONE" says jake. "that means we can-" "STOP!" screams siren. she swims away with jake at her tail

"oh, nothing. just to swim. i'm sorry if i scared you." jake says apologetically. "it-it's okay. you just - scared me a bit." siren says shakily. "wanna swim back to your rock?" jake asks

"i'm not gonna hurt you!" jake says. "i'm sorry that i scared you. i actually want to know if you want to go back to your rock!" siren nods "okay, i'm sorry for being rude, but could you not be so close to me?" asks siren. jake swims away an extra foot. "so," he says, "what's your name? mine's jake."

(on the one where jake apologizes, i DID stop doing siren)

"cool. have you lived here your whole life? i always thought it would be cool to live in the water. . ." jake trails off. "but about a year ago i stopped thinking that and became afraid of the water. . ."

"well, my mom died while on the water here. this is the first time i've really been here since."

"oh, um, yeah, that stinks too. . . my dad doesn't support me. I'm pan. . . he likes to abuse me verbally, but then he loves on my older brother. . ."

"yeah?"

"um, no? i mean, i just met you and you seem pretty nice. you kinda look like a monster, but i've never seen one, y'know?"

jake slowly backs out. "i-i gotta go."

"bye"

jake turns back as walking away "what was that?"

jake follows her back "are you okay?"

"k, bye now"
