You go out to a restaurant and get seated at a table across from a boy who'd seemingly been there for hours, his food already being set out and picked at a bit with another plate untouched across from him. It was obvious he'd been stood up by a date. He'd seemingly realized this as well, a tear rolling down his cheek as he stared at the door with false hope of somebody finally showing up.

Preston glanced over at her "Is it that obvious?" He tried to chuckle but was a bit to upset to actually smile, sniffling and wiping his eyes.

"I- their name was uhm- Sal...We've been talking for a few months- and we were supposed to meet tonight but as you can see- That didn't happen!" He says with sarcastic enthusiasm at the end.

Preston laughed a bit "Thanks but I can tell you're just trying to cheer me up-" He says, even though it obviously worked.

"Sure if you want, it's a bit cold though. I've been here quite a while." He says.

Preston raises an eyebrow "Really, being as pretty as you are I expected you to be beating guys and gals off with a stick" He chuckled, taking a small bite of his food before starting to pick at it with his fork.

"No problem. I dated a girl that was a stripper once, she was the sweetest person in the world so I don't think to badly of most people with those kinda jobs, ya know?"

"Huh sounds sucky to be an elf. I wouldn't know of course, being human and all" He shrugged.

Preston shrugged, picking at his food a bit "None taken."

He chuckled a bit "Alright then, at least something good came out of being stood up"

"Alright then, now I know where to go the next time this happens" He says, still having nearly a full plate only having picked at his food a bit.

"I could name quite a few...but thanks" he says with a small smile.

he sat up a bit "sure"

Preston stumbled when he pulled, looking at the trees for a moment "Oh- alright..." He says as he walked through the trees slowly.

"Whoa...." He stared in awe.

"Sweet." He says, still staring in awe "It's very beautiful..."

Preston looked at him, gripping at the table cloth a bit as he wiped his eyes "Uhm...yeah i'm fine." He sniffled, tears filling his eyes again even though he'd just wiped them.

"Well....It's just I was supposed to meet somebody tonight- We've been talking for a while and I really like hi- them...but obviously I got the wrong idea..." He muttered the last bit wiping his eyes once again with a sniffle.

He sighed "Nah don't be...it's my fault I guess" He shrugged, acting as if this was fine and he wasn't totally almost crying in front of a stranger.

He just shrugged "I dunno...maybe I was just...too sudden with asking to meet up and scared them away....?" He says, not even bothering to wipe his tears anymore, blaming himself despite blueberry's words.

Preston sniffled as more tears suddenly began flowing. "B-but isn't it?"

"I-i don't think he's an i-idiot though....he's so nice t-to me, it has to be me. It c-can't be him." He sniffled, a tiny sob being let out. This was utterly embarrassing though he didn't mind at the time seeing as he was basically having a breakdown.

"S-sal..." He muttered through another sniffle.

He finally un-clung himself from Blueberry, wiping his eyes "I-it's fine, this kinda thing happens to a lot of people-...I'm sorry I got your shirt all wet."

"Yeah but still, I just sobbed into a strangers shirt for five minutes...I feel like I should still apologize." He shrugged.

"I'd love to be friends as well, My names Preston by the way..." he finally introduces himself.

Preston wiped his eyes with a sniffle, looking at Aidan "Uhm- yeah i'm fine." He answers 100% untruthfully.

"Well yeah- but i'd rather not bother a stranger with my problems" He shrugged, wiping his eyes once again, his tears not stopping.

He sighed "I was stood up- by somebody I've been talking to for nearly a year." He finally explains, more tears suddenly flowing when he said that "Crap- i'm sorry" He says quickly trying to wipe his tears away.

He sniffled as he continued crying, still trying to calm himself down despite Aidan's words. "S-still i'd rather not be sobbing in front o-of somebody I-i barely know" He somehow stutters out through tears.

Preston finally just gives in and lets himself cry, hiding his head in his hoodie.

He sniffled, actually calming down a bit though his tears didn't stop. "T-thanks..." He said quietly.

Preston wiped his eyes with yet another sniffle "I'm Preston..."

"I mean....I guess you could? At least if you do something good'll come out of the situation." He shrugged, as he calmed down enough to stop crying.

"Uhm- I dunno..." He gave a shrug.

"That's fine by me." He says stretching a bit.

"Alright..." He says as he yawns a bit stretching.
