there are four major books. They're all connected to sam somehow; when the main characters figure out that is the main problem, they run into many different people and protectors of the books. These books create an amulet that links to a mythical cat creature named Lazuli, who ends up being TRAPPED in the gem. Their only problem with getting lazuli back to her physical form, is a scratchy voiced animal named outlet. There are four books of four different magic elements. There is light for the first book. Dark for the second.. Life for the third book. And death,, for the last. Sunny and dusty have the light book. Scythe and Cale have the dark book. Mysc has the life book, Outlet has the death book.
