As a Tomtord shipper let me explain how it’s supposed to be done as I know 1 some people don’t like it and 2 some people are toxic about it
It is okay to ship any eddsworld characters. The number one major thing to know when doing so is not to ship the real people or harass the people who they are based on because of the ship, some other things I must note and I do myself is to not use the real last names or to not show or say the last names at all.
This is the basics and if these things are followed then it is perfectly okay to shop these characters. And I ask that you please respect those who do, even if you don’t ship it.
There are afew other things to keep in mind but the things I listen are the most important and the very basics to it.
Also keep in mind, Edd was never the soul owner to eddsworld, he always shared the ownership with Tom, Matt and when he was around, Tord. And while none of the creators have ever been particularly welcoming of the shipping they have never told people not to ship as they are all aware that shipping is natural when it comes to a fan base. Something I think you have yet to learn. Hey respect that people ship the characters and have made jokes and praised ship art that looks really good. (As long as it wasn’t smut lol) let people shop what they want.
