They were discovered in the burgess shale formation where other radiodonts such as anomalocaris were discovered and most likely existed during the same period of time in the cambrian. They also have cool little prongs on their mouth piece thingies? What are they called I don’t rmemeber. Which suggest a predatory lifestyle, as well as gills on the back segments which further suggest an active lifestyle… they’re named after mothra (awesome) and THEY HAD SOFT TISSUE PRESERVED. Partial bits of their digestive tract, nervous system, and circulatory system were all preserved in some of the specimens!

YES!!! ESPECIALLY FOR SOMETHING SO SMALL!!! they’re about the smallest radiodonts that have been discovered which is so so so funny to me. Tiny little guys smaller than your finger hunting even smaller critters in an ancient ocean,,, I love radiodonts and you described them perfectly. Strange little freak creatures.
