eventually they do patch things up though!! when (spoilers for way later in my story that i might never finish) Left and Right district power up against the big bad,, he's like "im sorry for denying everything and kind of being a racist prick,," and lizard is liek "sorry for embarassing you and they both start laughing like "AHAHHSSGAH NO IM NOT </3 YOU DESERVED IT BROO" "YOU'RE RIGHT I TOTALLY DID-" and Darren (the protag, and son of dad here) is like "okay my dad is gay too what else is he hiding from me" TW abuse/// and then the district scientist with years or emotional abuse is just like "h."

Yeah so his partner in crime (Titled "The Mistress" to go along with "The Father" lmao) was a horrible co-leader for Left District and was very abusive to the scientist so like. he vents to his boyfrien- best friend about it (scientist guy has a WHOLE subplot good lord i love he) but for dad hes an okay guy AKA: the main villain ISNT actually the villain just a misguided person and he gets redeemed :] and there's actually a bad guy that IS evil and he diez bc stinky </3 and also scientist anxious about everything being the only voice of reason in a sea of idiots
