One core to keep the golem alive, another for the sentience of the golem. Although the second core allows some degree of sentience, not many emotions can be conveyed easily. The more interactions this golem receives the more emotions tent to build up withing the cores memories therefore allowing further expressions! they wandered throughout the existing lands (of whatever world I may throw them into) in search of their creator and to find reason for ones own existence! (a little overused story, I know... but I like the idea!)
