LinkAfter an exhaustive trek though the monster-filled swamp, you and your party arrive at the hill. It is here where the location Demilich Acererak's last haunt is rumored to be. You remember how just a day prior, the priest of a certain temple had commissioned your party to collect whatever treasure you can find and return it. In exchange for this job you will be rewarded a home within the upper class district. You dismount your steed an scan the hillside, an enormous, gravely mound, over grown with ugly weeds and thorny vines. After hours of poking and prodding the hillside, your party have found three potential entrances; One on the left, one to the center and one on the right. Which do you choose?

LinkYou move to the passage on the right, a 20ft wide tunnel with roughly hewn stone walls and floor paved with large tiles. It extends 50ft into the hillside, sunlight dimly illuminating the set of double doors at the end. What do you do?

LinkYou move deeper into the passage. A rumbling is heard the moment you get halfway in to the tunnel. You look back and see a 10ft wide stone block emerging from the right side of the tunnel wall. By the time you realize it, the block is already 5ft out and quickly nearing the other side. What do you do

LinkYou dash back, just before the stone moves 10ft and watch as it completely blocks the path. You're safe, at least for the time being. You safely exit the tunnel and look back at the other paths, which do you choose?

Link You move to the left path, the shining sun peeks down the passage. You see the ceiling is covered in layers upon layers of cobwebs stopping at the roughly hewn walls running 20ft wide and 30ft into the hillside, stopped only by a set of large double oaken doors with ring handles. What do you do?

Link*CLINK* A mechanism has been activated, causing the ceiling to collapse. Rocks and debris cover you and fracturing a bone in your right arm. You're fine otherwise.

LinkDaylight pours in to the tunnel. Unlike the other tunnels, you are stuck by carvings and glyphs along the walls with bright and brilliant pigments unsullied by the passage of time. There are carvings of grazing cattle, of wolves tucked behind small patches of forest, and of slaves working in a field, some human, some elf, some of strange human/animal hybrids. Looking farther down the tunnel, you see red runes on the ground that run the length of the passage, all 120ft of it, but fade into darkness around half way in. One of the more out standing features is literally out standing. A brozne chest and a painting of two jackal-headed men who appear to hold it. Next to it, a carving of a door with the scaled talons of a horrid creature grasping bars on a small window. What do you do?

LinkYou go deeper, accidentally triggering some pit traps on the floor but avoiding them easily. Before long you reach the end, and are met with a large sculpture of a devil built in the wall. Its green in color with a large O for a mouth. To your right, an archway billows out a pale mist as the stones that make it up glow various colors. The deeper you go you see the red runes on the floor are actually a message that reads..

Link«ACERERAK CONGRATULATES YOU ON YOUR POWERS OF OBSERVATION. SO MAKE
OF THIS WHATEVER YOU WISH, FOR YOU WILL BE MINE IN THE END NO MATTER WHAT!
Go back to the tormentor or through the arch,
and the second great hall you’ll discover.
Shun green if you can, but night’s good color
is for those of great valor.
If shades of red stand for blood the wise
will not need sacrifice aught but a loop of
magical metal - you’re well along your march.
Two pits along the way will be found to lead
to a fortuitous fall, so check the wall.
These keys and those are most important of all,
and beware of trembling hands and what will maul.
If you find the false you find the true
and into the columned hall you’ll come,
and there the throne that’s key and keyed.
The iron men of visage grim do more than
meets the viewer’s eye.
You’ve left and left and found my Tomb
and now your soul will die.»

LinkIt's a lot better when I can actually show the map and when it's played in group with actual character sheets and shit. Tomb of Horrors is an old DnD module, infamously known for its difficulty. I've run it with a group on discord once before.
