LinkSo when we are drinking water we have to pause to breath but there is oxygen in the water. Why doesn’t the oxygen in the water help us breathe?

LinkComplicated question sooo I looked it up and here is your answer it’s because The oxygen that fish breathe is not the oxygen in H2O. ... Humans cannot breathe underwater because our lungs do not have enough surface area to absorb enough oxygen from water, and the lining in our lungs is adapted to handle air rather than water. so yea XD
