yeah in the book it's almost like a father figure to jeremy, it even tells jeremy to get rid of it unlike in the musical. both portrayals are good
but yeah definitely what panda said, the squip really takes advantage of his insecurities which is horrible and sad, but incredibly powerful and i LOVE it.
i mean like jeremy did agree to everything but you have to remember this wasn't just from the squip's coaxing. if you listen to loser geek whatever, the new song, jeremy's really just tired of being insecure and treated like nothing and wants to be something more. i think a lot of people can relate to it.
