So, his name is Ryder. He has red eyes and black fur. I have a partial ref.

oke. You mind starting? I suck at starting things

Ryder sways his half tail back and forth, humming Poison by Cavetown

(toxic by...?) Ryder jumps as the slab breaks, looking out the tinted window of the abandoned store he resides in.

(Yes I do!) He growls, pulling out a pocket knife and slinking through the shadows, opening the door and peeking out at her.

"Hey you!" He growls, falling to all fours.

The knife clicks on the ground as he inches closer. "What are you doing here? Who are you?"

His tail flicks, and his ears go back as he slowly creeps closer. "I won't ask again."

His eyes widen, then narrow back. "You don't look like you're in the state to fight."

"Who. Are. You."

He chuckles. "Your name means honorable or sword. Little ironic." He gives her a slight smile. "What are you doing out here?"

Ryder tightens the grip of his knife, but doesn't move. "Strange, I've never seen you around here..."

Ryder nods, saying nothing. His ears stood erect.

A low hum startles Ryder, and he shrinks down. "Well, I'd better go!" he starts to slink away.

He sees that Katana can't move, and turns around. "Need help?"

(for some reason when I loaded the screen and saw that it scared me...? Idk I need help) Ryder grabs his scruff, pulling into the abandoned store.

He growls, giving out a yelp as she bites into his leg. "Mother-" He shoves Katana inside.

He lets go, standing upright and holding his arm where the bite is.

He sighs, shaking his head.

He glares at her. "Well, we stay here until whoever is out there leaves... Meaning you're gonna stay with a friend of mine and I'm going to go fight them off."
