If she asks why, tell her "It's a surprise" or "I have a gift for you" if she asks "Why don't you just come over to my place and tell me there?" just tell her something that will smooth the tension like "This'll be funner" or "Because it wont be boring" or something like that, maybe make her laugh through that too."
