No, you cant be with somebody you don't actually like back that makes it worse you did a good thing but i'd still try to work it out with your friend dont feel bad about this she's of course going to be a little embarrassed its okay really.

No! You didn't do anything wrong. And it's completely normal that you got the reaction she gave you. This has happened to me before, but it's not right to be someone's boyfriend/girlfriend if you don't feel the same way about them! It wouldn't be fair to them, or you. I think you did the right thing, and when you see them again, give them a hug and just try to act like nothing happened and continue on with your friendship like it was before.
