Kavebit are feline like in design. They are very thin, and adapted to go long times without food or water. They are usually dark colors, to blend in with the caves of Helaxia. They may sometimes have markings, usually white. They have large ears to help pick up quiet sounds. They have two large eyes, and two smaller ones, both sets grant sight in the dark. They tend to have large, bent tails, but stub tails may occur. Antennae-like sensors hang off the end; the number depends on the size of the tail. Kavebit have two or three antennae on their heads, that glow in the dark and are used as sensors. They also have very puffy chests, and are fairly fluffy to help keep them warm in the fairly chilly caves.

Kavebit originally had wings, but they slowly disappeared from the bloodlines as Kavebit adapted to cave-life. Sometimes, small, unusable wings will appear on a Kavebit as a reminder of those ancient times. (They can have up to four!) Another ancient trait is Dragon-shifting, where a Kavebit may take the form of a dragon. This power has said to be completely eliminated. Kavebit are omnivores. They often eat small creatures such as bugs, and other life forms farmed in Helaxia's caves. They also eat lots of plants, berries, and leaves.

Kavebit are well known for their magic. They all can transform into some sort of bug, usually very distinct (to say it's not an actual bug). Some may talk to, levitate, duplicate, and animate objects. Others may be immortal or read minds! Some can also change the colors of their antennae, sensors, and eyes. (This is often for emotions, but may also just be an ability) Kavebit from the royal bloodline often posses more rarer traits, such as mind-reading and usable wings. Royal Kavebit may have magic normal Kavebit cannot posses. They may teleport objects to them, create objects, and may make things visible to only certain people. Kavebit are ruled by a Queen.

Kavebit have a set of markings that may be on the back of their neck, shoulders, back, or on top of their tails. These markings are not with them when born, and change to their status. The colors may mark their personality, mood, and wealth. (Mood part is for color changing eyes, antennae n such!) For example, a Kavebit may have a color signifying wealth, but later in life have one signifying poverty. Kavebit also have certain markings as pupils, and sometimes white marks on their chest. They are usually specific shapes, numbers, or letters. Such as a heart, the letter H, and the number 7. They are not born with these either, but once they appear they never change. The shape often has some importance to the character. (Their name, a reference of some sort, related to the personality)

Antennae, eye, and nose color are usually the same. Though, Kavebit may have eyes that are different colors, or pupils are different shapes in both eyes. (Sometimes, they can have both. Antennae usually reflect those colors) Helaxia has a huge underground cave system, where the Kavebits live. There are many crystals, some may glow or float. It's likely Kavebit get magic from these. There are many diverse plants, with dark, low lying leaves to try to grab heat & light from glowing crystals. Crystals are sometimes used as light sources.

The overworld is unknown to most Kavebits, but it is fairly similar to that of Earth. Lots of flowers, animals, mountains, hills, rivers, and etc. There are also lots of crystals there. Three suns sit in the sky, and a single moon rotates around Helaxia.

MUST-HAVE Static/scribbly paw-pads. Letters, numbers, or specific shapes as pupils. (These usually have some importance to the character, such as their name or some reference) Pupils must be white. Antennae, 2 or 3. Big ears, four eyes, thin bodies, puffy chests, and fairly fluffy fur. Tail sensors, number depends on tail size. Markings depicting their personality/wealth/mood status. (These are located on the shoulders, back, back of neck, and top of the tail. These change over time) (Darker colors indicate negative things) A fairly feline-based body. Ears darker than the base color, with white stripes. Ability to shapeshift into a distinct bug.

OPTIONAL Small traits (Ear-tufts, scars, lines on antennae, stub tail. Small things that don't really affect the character) Magic (Talk to, levitate, duplicate, and animate objects. Eye & Antennae color changing. May only have 1) Unusable wings (Up to 4. Unusable as in not big enough for flying) Markings (Nothing very major, such as 100 stripes & spots. Usually small markings on the legs, tail, face, and ears)

The colors for personality & mood stuff is pretty simple. Red: Aggressive, mean, passionate, ambitious, anger, love, poor, debt, strength. Orange: Excitement, enthusiasm, proud, confident, anxious, sluggish, ignorant. Yellow: Happy, optimism, childish, energetic, irresponsible, unstable, caution, extraversion. Green: Stability, peace, envy, abrasive, money, safety, disgust, illness. Blue: Sadness, cool, aloof, trust, calm, intelligent, loyal. Purple: Royalty, wealth, mystery, moody, fear, introversion, snobbery, intelligence. Pink: playful, emotional, weak, love, admiration, empathetic, immature. Black: Bold, dramatic, evil, mystery, secretive, overwhelmed, pessimistic, wealth. White: Aloof, innocence, purity, indifference, peace, hope, quiet.

RULES 1. Characters must be approved & registered. (I wanna keep track of these characters n such) 1.5 Please do not make adopts of Kavebit, or give yours away without letting me know. 2. Characters may not be royal, dragon-shifters, mind-readers, or immortal. 2.5 Mind reading Kavebit are limited to adopts. 3. Please follow the basic trait list, but feel free to add any optional trait you'd like. That's pretty much all I have to say. If you have questions, I'll happily answer. 1. A colony or hive. 2. It depends on the size of the cave the Kavebits live in, but it's usually at least over 20. 3. For non-anthro, almost the same as a normal cat; 1-4. For anthro, the same as a normal human; 1-3 4.5-8 months, they're fairly short. For non-anthro 1 or 2 months. 5. Up to 3.5 months if they have *tiny* amounts of both. Nearly 2 if they do not eat at all (but do drink). 1.5 if they eat, but do not drink. (water's important! obviously some will come from food) 1.5-2 months entirely without both water & food. 6. I haven't thought much into this, but I'd say a sort of distinct buzzing noise. Maybe from rubbing their antennae together?

7. Kavebit live in caves, but pretty much have a human-like society. They have beds similar to humans, and their own homes. Homes (and other buildings) are usually separate compartments in caves. Non-anthro Kavebit may sometimes make nests, though. They're usually located in the darkest and most comfortable places possible. They use scrap/comfortable materials for nests. Silk, blankets, leaves, sticks, and other things from plants. They're usually located by crystals/rocks for protection. 8. Kavebits can get pretty old. The oldest ages are between 120-150.

9. Somewhat smarter than humans. Not significantly, though. They're smart enough to create a cave-orientated society, organize jobs, build, map things, and simply be sentient. 10. Very similar to humans, although often just shorter. 5.2 ft. - 4 ft for females. 5.2 - 5.8 for males. For non-anthro, around the sizes of a Serval or Cheetah. 11. There aren't any real ranks per se, unless you mean different levels of wealth, jobs, and such. There are queens & princes/princesses though!
