Oh boy, I'm back and I'm about to spill a vat of tea in a huge paragraph about why school events are made to make people hate each other!
Alright, so my school decided "Hey, our winter dance always gets pushed back to spring because of snow, let's have a fall harvest festival this year!" and I didn't really want to go at first. I made a poster design and helped with decorations for it. But my friend, let's call her S, and another friend, who we'll call R, had to run an "Obstacle course" so we decided to give them company. It all would have probably been fine, but then the universe decided that another friend (there's a lot of people in this story) And we'll call him F, should come with us. Anyways, shit went downhill when yet ANOTHER friend wanted to ask S out. we'll call this guy B. Anyways, he'd had a crush on her for a while, and that friend the universe decided to add, F, pressured him to ask S out that day. So he did. and S said "Umm, yeah, sure I guess." which if you don't speak middle school girl, that means "No, but I don't want to hurt your feelings." And B said "I actually wish she just said no instead."
So, shit went downhill from this point on. I spent the rest of the night with a close friend who also hates drama and has crippling anxiety, who we'll call K. For a while, S just walked around, resetting the obstacle course with R, probably ranting, and K and I just kind of sat around until we decided we were sick of this shit, then we went inside. Once inside, I remembered that S hated it when we didn't tell her when we were going somewhere, and when she came back, she would probably say "Where the **** were you?! You left me there with all that shit!" and of course, my anxiety was just like "**** dealing with your problems like a normal person, let's hide for the next half hour instead!" so then K looked over and said "Oh shit, they're here." and we hid in various places for the rest of the night, borderline panic attack. Anyways, I fully expect a string of angry emails later tonight.
