I found this so I guess its partly why
hyenas also symbolize immortality, bad habits other traits that are dark. ... People who have been sent a hyena as their totem have the skill to separate lies from the truth.
Im pretty sure somewhere else it said strong willed
but hyenas are pretty cool ngl and on most of comments about spirit animals theirs hardly any mentioning hyenas
