I just want to say, we know what you believe. Most of us were theists, but then stopped being theists and are now atheists.

Like, christianity teaches that a magic being made everything, with evidence that it wasn't just created outta nowhere, made people who were capable of disobeying him, (he's omniscient so he already knew what would happen and let It happen) punished them for doing something he could have stopped them from doing, often just killed a bunch of people rather than magically stopping them from doing bad things, loves us so .uch to actually tortureus, then send us to hell ti be tortured if we believe the wrong thing, instead of firgiving us, he made a human son that's also him who was killed, then still didn't fully forgive us so now we still go to hell. Also his son could break the laws of physics.

All of this, and more, from a book which left out large chunks of the original scriptures, and doesn't line up with any other historical texts we can find.

So, we know what you believe, we just think it's silly, so you can stop trying to say "oh but you don't understand the beliefs, let me educate you". In my experiences, atheists know the bible better than christians.

Like, I don't hate people who believe in this stuff or think they're dumb at all. Well, some, but not all. It's more about how you believe than what you believe.

Hello pablofawkes. I am a Christian so therefore I do believe in God. I have read all your reasons of why you are an atheist and I want to give you my personal opinion. Just a reminder, I am not downing of what you were describing above, I just felt like I needed to comment. First of all, I do believe in creationism and I don't believe in evolution and here's why: Evolution has taught that, Approximately 4.6 billion years ago, the solar system was a cloud of dust and gas known as a solar nebula. Gravity collapsed the material in on itself as it began to spin, forming the sun in the center of the nebula. With the rise of the sun, the remaining material began to clump up. Small particles drew together, bound by the force of gravity, into larger particles. My question is, what/who created the particles that created the solar system. And if something created those particles, what created the substances that created the particles? There has to be a creator. That's the only possible way I can explain it.

You may be asking, what created the creator? Our brains can't comprehend that something was before all creation. Colossians 1:16 (NIV) 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

I also wanted to mention, your didn't add WHY Jesus does on the cross. John 3:16 New International Version (NIV) 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. You also added, "His son could break the laws of physics. " I believe it's okay for to do so because he has never sinned. (We are all sinners so that's why no one could take his place. Only Jesus could die in the cross because he is perfect.) I also believe Jesus does on the cross because he wanted people to know that he is God. If he didn't rise from the dead, I would question Christianity.

Lastly, you mentioned that God knows when things are going to happen and that he doesn't stop the bad from happening. God doesn't stop these things from happening because he gave humans the power of choice. WE chose if we want to kill, lie and steal. We chose to do all these bad things. If God stopped it from happening, he would be stealing our free will of choice. I am not a pastor, I am just a high schooler who %100 believes in God but, if you do have any questions, I will gladly answer them using my knowledge of the bible. Have a great rest of your day.?
