LinkWhen you think of it, America’s government, is similar to what ancient Rome’s was. The detailed laws, attempt of balancing out the government, fairness in court! All of it, comes from ancient Rome. America’s government was greatly influenced by rome.
First, they had a system of checks and balances. Ancient Rome divided its government into three branches, and made sure one never got enough power, similar to America. Rome did that by making top officials only serve for 1 year. America also divided their government in 3 branches, like the Roman Republic. It also, according to prezi.com, “In the Roman Republic and the U.S. Government, the head executive can be removed by the legislators”. America was influenced by Rome’s government to make their system of checks and balances. (plebeians and normal ppl voting)
