The Red Angel. Primarch of the 12th Legion. Angron is war incarnate, a living demigod crafted by the Emperor as a tool in his crusade to conquer the galaxy. Stolen as a child and dropped onto a vicious world, Angron grew up as a gladiator with no comfort in his life. Losing his comrades when rescued from his servitude by the Emperor, and fueled with anger by his Butcher’s Nails, cerebral implants that suppress any emotion other than anger and aggression, he became a bloody and hateful fighter in mankind’s great crusade. He and his legion slaughtered billions, bringing worlds under compliance of the Imperium by sheer bloodshed alone. In one night he and his legion slaughtered an entire world of billions, their white armor so drenched with the blood of the innocent that it took on a sheen of dark red. As the course of time went its way, he eventually betrayed the emperor, and followed a path of corruption to daemonhood.
