Advertising on other peoples posts is honestly a shitty thing to do. Now that we have the ability to delete comments, its not as annoying, but that doesnt mean its okay now. Although you might have innocent intentions, advertising randomly on anyones posts isnt okay. The person whose post you advertise on will probbly be annoyed, and you are leeching off of their following if anyone even acknowledges the comment. Just because you dont believe youre being rude doesnt mean youre not. Advertising is disrespectful, and generally annoying. Just dont do it.

I have thought of a solution so people can advertise with people who agree. If you want to advertise, tell what you might be advertising, and offer payment. Payment can be anything such as art requests, shoutouts, or whatever the two of you agree upon. You can propose how long you want to be able to advertise, or how many posts you want to advertise on. Only advertise on the posts of those who you have made a deal with. You can make posts looking for people to advertise with, or saying you are open to advertising deals, and you wont be bothering anyone. You can even advertise on each others posts as a trade. If you cant come to an agreement, then dont do the deal. Make sure what you ask for is fair for the both of you.

The best way to deal with unwanted advertising: Delete the comment, and confront the user on the post they are advertising. It will stop them from being able to get views from your post. If you want, you can link them to this post.

I know I wont stop the advertising problem with this, probably not even make a noticable difference, but I want there to be a solution available for all the people who run into this problem and are annoyed by it.
