Like, isn't most are inherently a way to vent emotions@? Venting is just being more specific. One thing I see is people saying it should be less ambiguous. Counterpoint, nobody owes you detail of their problems. For me, I need to just say to someone that I have a problem. That's it. I don't want help or attention, I just need to say that I have an issue because sometimes I don't want to go I to detail, but my loved ones will try and get me to talk in depth.
