LinkI'm looking up some stuff about Mormonism, and the little bit I know, it's pretty weird...
The origin, particularly.
So, some guy found some glowing stones and golden tablets, but lost the rocks, but then used a different rock, put it in a hat and said the book of Mormon?
And only he could read it?
And also there are prophets that are totally real, and a couple of them said that God said some really racist stuff, specifically about Black people being devil's representation, and could not be priests.

But yes missionaries only contact family and friends through weekly emails and have a phonecall twice a year. It sounds harsh but really it would cause a lot of distraction and make people more homesick if they had more contact. There are service missions available where people can still live at home if homesickness is a major problem.
Can you tell me tyhe Mormon explanation of the Prophets contradicting each other?
Such as the whole "Black people are the sons of Cain and are the devil's people so they can't be in the priesthood" thing...
I'm a little confused about what you're asking... But black men can hold the priesthood now. There was a time when they couldn't but I believe that was to protect them because at the time people still had a prejudice against them and if they held the priesthood it may have caused some contention.
..and I watched the video about missionaries. Its actually very correct, just portrayed negatively. And yes I do suppose it sounds crazy and there is a lot I have to sacrifice to go on a mission. But I'm going because the church has made my life so much better than it could have been and I know it's true, and I want to help other people find it.
Like, Before 1978 blck people weren't allowed to attend the services, because a living prophet said so. Then they said, in 1978, that Black people could be priests and attend the services.
How come God says stuff that contradicts other things?
Okay I understand now.
The world changes, so occasionally policies and practices change because of that. But the gospel and principles of our beliefs themselves don't change.
But if god is all knowing, why does he not set the policies and practices to be the end result, rather than continuously changing them?
I feel like #I should say, I'm not trying to convert anypne or talk shit about people's beliefs, I'm just curious as to what people believe and why.

Our principles and beliefs are the end result, the policies just help us get there and to lead the church in such a way that it will thrive. The two greatest commandments/principles are to love God, and then to love everyone. There are also a few practices that never change such as taking the sacrament and baptism and such.

Um.. Not quite... I mean sort of but not quite. Women can't hold the priesthood.
Okay all the priesthood does is give the men certain responsibilities and opprotunities to serve others. It is not used to make them superior above women. I have been in the church my whole life and the lack of priesthood has never hindered me in anything... It helps the young men to mature more and be more selfless.
If it wasn't for women than the men wouldn't be able to bless children and stuff like that!
