*Cleo walks to the lab window and looks inside and evesdrops*

-smiles and takes- Thanks, I'm ready gonna need it today if you still want to run those experiments!

-daydreams and sips coffee-

-a faint blush sets on her face as she thinks- I could've walked... not that this is that bad either!

- sips coffee, thinking of some projects she needs to do -

Cleo: oooooooooooooo, This day is gonna be interesting!

-nods in response, still thinking-

-stomach growls and mutters- I hope breakfast will be ready soon...

-ears perk up and she walks in, ready to dig in!-

-finishes eating- I'll stay here to clean up, if you'd like to get ready for today's experiment!

Alrighty then, -walks to room where experiment will be held and starts setting things up -

-fiddles with some gadgets- I'm in the lab room!

-pushes a few buttons and taps on a screen, monitoring power of the machine, and bumping it up a lil'-

-looks towards machine- ...rebooting...?

-ears perk up in fear, but keeps distance- Are you okay?! Rebooting?!

-face shows panic- I knew I shouldn't've bumped up the power like that! I'm an idiot...! -holds a defensive stance- (woa triple contraction :P)

-gasps and thinks- I can't just leave him like that! Is he dead already?! I'll never forgive myself if he is...! How can one live as a skeleton? -ears flatten and eyes seem dull-

-thinks- I can't let this happen! (speaking out loud) Rebooting! -runs over-

-tears prick eyes- Can you tell me what's wrong? I-I can help! I'll get a med k-kit or something!

So, numbness... -runs over to desk and grabs a med kit, running back-

-thinks- But how the heck am I gonna put medicine on a skeleton?!

Oh gosh... why can't a be a stupid nurse?! I-I don't know how to help with breathing issues...

(Hah let's get this party started >:3) -whines nervously, not really knowing what to do-

-tears start to form in eyes- ...I hate to say goodbye, but I won't be seeing you later... -hugs, now full on sobbing- I-I'm gonna miss you!!

-thinks- I can never forgive myself for this. I...I'm just letting my best friend, and co-worker, die. I can't do anything right!

-doesn't respond, but tries to wipe tears away from the both of us, thinking- Gosh, DARNIT! Why can't I frickin' do anything! -looks over to desk where phone lays- (speaking) ...Maybe, I can call 911...The docs should be able to save you...right?

-shadow covers eyes, hiding them, as she's forced to accept the truth- It'll never be the same here, without you...

-eyes widen, and she looks back up to him- I...I believe you. -thinks- He'll always be here. I believe! (repeats for a bit, then stopping)

-smiles sadly looking at him- ...See you later...

(dang, this turned like really dark and depressing :P) -gets up and walks out of room, still smiling-

(uh, ignore that last action o-q) -hangs up phone, propping feet on desk- Ugh, more lab tests to be done...

(I always though horror was more of spoops than sad, but ig it works lol)

(oof, alrighty then xD)

(kek) -works on tests, getting hungry, and seeing that it's already 7:00pm- Time for dinner! -runs off to fix some insta-noodles-

-finishes eating, seeing that it's now 8pm- Huh, guess I should get back to work..

-works on lab tests, until she finishes around 9:30pm- Now time for a break! -w-

-watches TV, sipping a juice box like the lil' kid she is (mentally)-

-frowns- They just decide to release the story...? -sips juice box again, listening intently-

-ears perk- He never said anything about money...

-spits out juice- HOLY MACARONI!

-turns off tv, finishing juice box as well- Rebooting never said anything about that much money! What even am I gonna do with that?! -smiles-

-reads note, still smiling- He really was such a gentleman... -looks back up towards machine, remembering the experiment-

-flinches at the flashback- Wait... he did let out a monstrous roar... so that means that part of it worked.

It's kinda late... heh, -does best impression of rebooting- you should be in bed by now, meg! -starts walking to bed, giggling at how terrible that impression was-

-smiles sadly- I really do miss him...

If only I could've told him...well, it would've been pointless anyway. He already set his eyes on someone else... -ears droop down-

-smiles- I'm glad I can't see you now, It would be even more embarrassing if I saw you react to that!

-ears perk up some- Huh...? Who could it be this late...?

-walks over and opens door-

-frowns, turning around reluctantly-

-eyes show worry, and shuts the door- Something's not right...I must be hallucinating! Surely! Maybe this is why rebooting always was keen on me going to bed early.-starts to mumble- but, I've stayed up later than this before...am I sick?

-freezes in fear, and painfully, as well as slowly, turns head to try to see who it is-

-quickly turns head forward, panicking- -has a short flashback to when rebooting's eyes were white like that, after the experiment-

-runs away, still shook-

-slows a bit, reluctant to trust them-

-stops and turns to face them, ready to either fight or run-

-frowns and runs up to him, hugging him- I'm so glad you're back!! -smiles widely-

-eyes flicker as she chases after the truck carrying him away- I can't lose you again! -she gets down on all fours in attempt to run faster-

NO!! -she uses all of her energy to continue to run after the truck- REBOOTING!!

-ears perk- That must be rebooting! -pedels fast towards building then runs inside-

-face darkens- I'll ask you nicely. Please let me in.

-runs in and sees rebooting I a test tube- Oh thank the heavens you're alive! -turns to scientists- Now, I'll only ask once. Let him go.

-eyes glint mysteriously as she walks over to one of the agents, quickly grabbing their collar and holding them up- You sure you don't want to let him go?

(Sorry, had to run an errand oof) -reluctantly sets down-

-eyes shine a bright blue as she sweeps the agent off his feet and pins him to the floor, showing her teeth- I dare you! You b-

-lets out a snarl, then she quickly swipes the control from their hand-

-smirks, and then presses a button freeing rebooting- Hey, will you be okay?

The shocks must've messed up your nerves... and I can't take you to the hospital or else they'll turn us in... -frowns, thinking- I hate being in pickles!
