I just randomly feel like talking about my only rat left, Benji. Her story: I was walking home from school in June 2018, and two boys from my class had stopped, and they were standing over something small and brown. I picked it up and it was a 2 week old baby roof rat that hadn’t opened its eyes yet. I tried releasing it into a garden, but I noticed it was injured, so it had no chance of surviving. I took it home and explained to my mum everything. We put the pup in a small cage. Every two hours for a week (yes even at night) I had to feed the pup with kitten milk formula, so I stayed up a lot then. We thought it was a Male, so we called it Benji, Ben for short (because of the movie Willard.) when Benji became 3 weeks old and could now eat solid food, we noticed that she was in fact a female, but we didn’t change her name. Her favourite food is watermelon. She’s about a year old now, and she’s super playful, and, being a “wild” rat, she still has those instincts, but she’s never bitten us, she
