If Amiyah is making you sad then try to rekindle the friendship, if Amiyah was upset about not being friends with you anymore then I highly doubt she'd oppose wanting to hang out again .-. You might not have the same classes but you can text, or even just talk in the hallways when possible.

It's still very possible for you and her to hang out again. On the weekends as well. But if you find your personalities don't click as they used to, then that's okay. You have both changed and developed but you don't dislike eachother now. I've had this exact same experience with someone I considered my best friend for 5 years .-. It hurt, a lot, when me and her just weren't that close anymore and her best friend wasn't me. That's when I decided it wasn't worth it. I get sad thinking about how much we used to talk but now it just hurts talking to her so why continue It's your choice, honestly.

Exactly, that's the feeling. If you really think she is still someone who can be a good friend like she was for years, then do, talk to her. It would be easy for you two to set up something because her mom is close with yours. I knew the friend for 5 years but they just changed and even admitted we werent that close anymore. If it doesn't work out, then just know you tried and that you both changed and move on. It'll bother you more to keep trying to talk to her when it's not the same. I'm repeating myself now. And, offering over simple solutions to complex problems. Just do what you think'll work.
