it hurts because my parents verbally abuse me to an extent (they tease me a lot and don't stop when i cry, when they're angry they'll say shit along the lines of "crybaby", "useless", "i wish i never knew you", etc) and abuse is a really sensitive word to me when it's talking about a person.
