it felt like ft and gn were trying to drag me back to the furries and convince me it's not that bad? uh
can i just leave the fandom and not try to be convinced to do otherwise
like, it's my decision, and that video wasn't the only reason i left the fandom. i'm sick of being referred to as a furry anyways, and people at my school always asking to "see my fursuit" or going "owo" around me. it was really annoying.
also, @furrytrash if the crimes people are committing in the fandom are so distant to most furries, then why is it automatically assumed by most that furries are associated with bestiality? there's a question for you. also, not everyone is oblivious/ don't care what people think. having anxiety makes it so i always care what everyone thinks of me (mostly/ solely irl), which means me openly being a furry probably wasn't a good look and made people judge me a lot.
so yeah. i'm not in the fandom anymore. and i'm probably not going back.
I have nothing against you leaving the community. Although, bringing up a serious opinion about it will definitely cause controversy. So don't worry, I'm not trying to drag you.
The reason why beastiality is so commonly associated with the furry fandom is because it has to deal with the sexual act with pets. Originally it had nothing to do with furries until people started assuming it had. (Not saying there arent any furries out there that are into beastiality. There are.) Because, as a matter of fact, there are many kinks out there that have to deal with the act of being sexually aroused while acting like an animal, and automatically there are people to assume that furries are into anything that has to deal with animals. In some cases, yes, but people assume the worst of the bunch. However, although there are furries that are into said such, it isn't a lot of the community and I'd barely say it's and 1/8th. There are many people in the fandom that want nothing to do with it and it is mostly just assuming.
I'm very sorry that what I said in the last post made you feel like i hated you or something. I find you very interesting and I like your personality; its just whenever someone brings up a topic that's very argumentative I'm obviously going to butt in when it's about something I have interest in. (Not beastiality or crimes, obvviously.)
You (not just referring you you, almost everyone) assumes something about and ethnicity or community. And most of the time, it's not true. in simple, it's just a stereotype.

In some cases, yes, but there are many females out there that enjoy the glittery creatures.
Although there is evidence the stereotypes are true, the thing as whole isnt.
