This was quite an unexpected request and a pretty easy one as well. I've never done anything like this, and I tried my best to explain how I did everything. Pretty much I start off with a simple sketch, outline it, color it, shade it, and if there are others in the background I'll separate them and add them together later on. Then I usually do the background to add them onto. Afterward, I do their lighting and I animate the usual "New moon" or "Old moon" title. Quite a simple process that doesn't take THAT long really depends on what the opening scene is. Anyways, this is how I usually do stuff before I add the final effects and post it.
