LinkAnother day of being bullied. It never stops. Sometimes I wish I could run away and never come back. No one would miss me.. I walked down the sidewalk, blood running down my face and onto my shirt. "My mom is gonna kill me when she sees this on me," I said to myself. I sighed and tried to get my mind off it. I stared at the scenery around me, everything looked normal and fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. But then I heard someone call out to me.
"Hey loser! " It was the school bully, Ryan. I turned around to face him. I was short compared to him. Ryan punched me in the gut, and I fell backward. I landed on the ground harshly, gashes in both my arms and a bruise on my face. My glasses were on the ground next to me, and I tried to grab them before Ryan saw them. Ryan smirked and stomped on them.
"N-no!" I cried.
"Shut up, twig!" Ryan kicked me, and I tried to defend myself. He saw an adult getting close by, and he ran away. I picked up my glasses with my bloody hands. They were still functional..

LinkI knew that it would be hard to use them, but they would last me the rest of the way home. I got home, and instantly my mom started yelling at me. "HOW THE HELL DID YOU LET YOURSELF GET THIS HURT? WERE YOU REALLY THAT HELPLESS?? THOSE GLASSES WERE $158! I HOPE YOU'RE PROUD OF YOURSELF!" I tried to explain what happened but she didnt want it. "Shut up! We really need to stich your mouth shut.." She kicked me in the jaw, and I cried.. I ran upstairs to my room and checked on my supply of painkillers. I still had plenty. I took some, and the pain fizzled away. I laid on my bedroom floor and stared at the ceiling fan. The audible whoosh of the fan moving in air soothed me, and soon I fell asleep on my floor..

LinkI woe up to my mom yelling at me that I overslept and I was gonna be late for school. I hid some tape in my bag, got dressed and zoomed out the door, and I just barely made it onto the bus. I got on the bus, took out the tape, and put a piece over my mouth so I couldn't speak. I put it away and stared out the window, wishing I wasn't a bully target. I only made my problems worse... I really should get my mouth stitched shut. I sighed and drew little squiggles on my hand with a pen. I wished I packed the painkillers. ... We got off the bus, and I was pushed off the bus. I skinned my knee, but I got up and kept walking. I didn't try to say anything. I didn't care about the blood dripping down my leg. The rest of the day went the same. I got home, and still, I didnt take the tape off. I didn't take it off to speak when my mom asked what the tape was for. She should have known though..

LinkI felt slightly lightheaded when I woke up the next day. Could it have been the blood I lost yesterday? Hmm.. It didn't matter. I took off the tape to drink a water bottle and eat an orange, then put a new peice on. I didn't dare speak the short amount of time my mouth was uncovered. It went on the same way for about a week. My mom finally got tired of it. She ripped the tape off my mouth agressivly, causing me to wince and squeal a bit. "Why tape your mouth when you can have it stitched? You want that, don't you? Ha, even if you don't, I'll do it anyway!" My mom grabbed some wire and a needle. Before I knew it, I was bleeding more than I ever had before. I tried screaming for help, but it made the issue worse. It hurt a lot.. When she was done, I had lost half the blood in my body. The last thing I heard was my mom saying, "There ya go.. Now we're all happy..." Then I drifted away.
