Let me type

I stared at the moon in my room, wondering how Aurora was doing. The walls of my bedroom were littered with sketches and doodles. “Honey!” My mom yelled. “Dinner!” I let out a soft sigh and traveled downstairs, where I can smell chicken. It was obvious that my mom didn’t like me, or so I thought, and it was also obvious that I didn’t like her. My sister got all the attention until she got kicked out, thankfully. I sighed again at the thought of my sister and got to the kitchen, where I saw mom, full face of makeup. At a night like this? Its Saturday, and she didn’t have a night shift. Cheating. Again. Dad was never home, was it because… “Hey! She woke up!” My dad exclaimed. He’d burst into tears, and my mom started to sob. Dusk woke up. “W...where am I?” Dusk started to panic. Mom held her hand. “Were in the hospital, baby”. Dusk looked up, confused, as if she lost her memory. She closed her eyes. I was waiting outside of the room, rehearsing what happened in my head. ignored and hated and the other part of me felt as if my attention is all on my sister. I was pacing, left and right. A nurse walked out of the room. She walked up to me and grabbed my shoulder, and I stood there, frozen. She hugged me. “Everything will be alright,” She told me and she hugged tightly, and I stood there, crying softly. It could have been a dream. I swore it was. “Come on, Cloud!” Dusk shouted from the street. I wasn’t that fast, and my bike was stuck in a pile of mud. “Wait just one second!” I yelled back at her. The bike finally got out of the mud and I carefully walked it down the driveway. “Finally,” Dusk laughed. Suddenly, my world just… failed. I dropped my bike and I couldn’t move. I tried to scream but failed, and tried to save Dusk but I couldn’t move. The car was speeding and hit Dusk. Dusk screamed and collapsed and hit the floor. I burst into tears and ran inside and told my parents. Mom didn’t believe me but Dad rushed outside to see Dusk lying on the

Dusk lying on the floor and the guy from the car opened the door and pulled out his phone to call 911. My dad was shocked and was too shaky to grab his phone. Mom came running out the door and burst into tears when she saw Dusk. “This is your fault, little bastard!” She yelled at me, and rushed to Dusk. I started to cry more. She got it all wrong! My dad grabbed Dusk and ran to the car. We all jumped in and Mom rushed to the hospital. At that point I knew they hated me, especially my mom. I fell asleep in the chair, and got up when my dad and mom came out of the room, crying and sobbing. “She’s alive... go and see for yourself…” He could barley speak, but he seemed… Off… And then I realized they weren't crying tears of joy. I shrugged and wiped away my tears and slowly walked into the hospital room, where Dusk was lying. I sat in a chair in it was silence for a while. “Dusk….” I started. “I am so so so sorry… It was my fault I didn’t warn you and you got hit.” I finished and a

I finished and a tear slid across my cheek. A nurse came in. “I thought I should tell you…” She spoke. “Dusk has about 4 years to live…” The nurse almost cried aswell. I was in shock. She would die at the age of 19... But she was only 15.She still had a long ways to go. The nurse left to go talk to Mom, and then I look up at Dusk. It was silent and I squeezed her hand for a second and left. I opened the door and saw her one last time. Before I left, Dusk said something. My ear perked up to hear what she said. “It was your fault.” Dusk said faintly. I froze, cried silently, but since I was already leaving, Mom pulled me and said not to involve. And when she moved out when she was 18, Mom never had contact with her since. I was happy, but I didn't get the attention I wanted.I kept it to myself but I secretly hate Dusk. (sorry if short)
