Ruby crashed through the woods with her heart in her throat. It was pitch black and even the moonlight wouldn't peak through. A Deafening howl erupted behind her and she panted to move quicker. Her left wing dragged behind her with a bloody hole in it. She ran into a clearing surrounded by tall rock walls. She was cornered and the wolves were near. She opened her mouth to unleash her acid but just like before all that came out was a squeak of terror.
Fire:*hears a crash and and runs towards the crash then follows the path of blood then sees ruby*
Ruby locked eyes with the new dragon right before a wolf jumped on her. She smacked it with her tail but there had to be at least 14 more. She lied down out of exhaustion and let the wolves jump on her.
Fire:*attacks the wolves and swings his pointy tail which kills some of the wolves*
A wolf bites rubys leg and she lets out a roar, acid spat out of her mouth and onto the face of the wolf who let out a scream and ran blindly off into the woods. The other wolves looked at ruby and the new dragon and ran off as well.
Ruby let out a small smile before screaming," M-My WING!" She crushed her eyes in pain and flexed her claws.
Ruby looked at him," I know but it-" She crushed her eyes closed again with large gasps," HURTS! "
fire:*looks at her nervously and tries to figure out what to do*
Ruby looked at him with tear filled eyes," Help me..." She whispered before she let her head drop and she passed out from blood loss.
fire: ohno!what can i do what can i do.......*he grabs leaves that can heal dragons then wraps it around her wing*
The night was getting even colder and the moon smiled coldly on the two dragons. Russles in the woods and strange calls echoed in the growing night
fire:*Looks around then brings her to his cave then lights up a fire to keep them warm*
Ruby shifts and opens her eyes," uh..." She looked at fire," Oh. Thank you, for.. saving me." She struggled to stay awake," I'm Ruby." She curled her tail around her and shifted her wings slightly.
Ruby looked around the cave," Uh... how old are you? You seem young to be alone.." She played with a rock near her claws.
Ruby looked at him with interest," Where are your parents? Do you have siblings?" Her golden eyes grew wide," I haven't every talked to a dragon before, what age are they supposed to leave their parents?"
fire:i left my parents..i left my siblings behind...and i'm not sure....
Ruby looked shocked," Why would you leave? I've always wanted a family."
" Well...tell me about yourself..." Ruby put her head on the stone floor.
fire:i'm a loner,i'm cool i guess,i'm looking for someone to love....
Ruby's head snapped up," Oh I better go! Would you look at the time!" She tried to get up but fell to the ground again. All the while her bright red scales deepened to a blush red.
She scrambled backwards," I'm fine! That was a bold statement you just said!" She laughed nervously," Well good night!" She closed her eyes quickly and rolled over.
fire:oh um...good night?*goes to another spot of the cave and falls asleep*
Ruby didn't fall asleep though.. she lied awake and listened to Fire's breathing. All the while her scales grew warmer and even red-er. Until she couldn't take it. She stood up slowly, using the wall for support and walked to the cave entrance. She slowly walked out and into the woods. That were starting to light up from dawn.
Fire:*yawns and looks around*wheres ruby....*He leaves the cave then searches for her*
Ruby walked through the woods until she met her favorite spot to sit. A cliff over-looking the ocean. The sun was rising over the water and she sat looking at it.
fire:*he goes in the woods and finds her then he hovers over her with a mad face*
Ruby turned around and screamed, she scrambled back and her foot slipped. She gave Fire a terrified face before she fell down to the ocean below. *She is !extremely! clumsy. She will always slip and fall*
fire:*sighs and flies down to the ocean and catches her then brings her back to the cliff*
Ruby smacked him with her good wing," Why would you scare me like that!?" She blushed again and looked away.
" u-uh you made me feel weird! When you said *love* I got this weird bubbly feeling... I was scared of that." She picked a flower and let go of it over the cliff. Watching it drift into the water.
fire:*sighs and turns away*i'm sorry i made you feel weird...imma go back to my cave...
Ruby gets up," C-can I come too?" She walks up behind him," Please?"
Ruby whispers to herself," Be brave Ruby, its just a guy dragon after all...its not like he saved your life twice..." She looked at her wing," It's not like he's amazing or anything." She shook her head and continued to walk.
" Hey fire when do you think my wing will be done healing?" She asked as she peaked under the bandages.

"Fire come on! Its been months before I last flew! Lets go on a morning flight!!" She bounced on her back lags and flapped her wings.
Ruby ripped off the bandages to see her wing perfectly healed. She leaped into the air and flew straight up in spirals," Come on slow poke!!" She called down to fire.
Ruby flew gracefully down to the cliffs. She plummeted down to the water in a dive. Pulling up at the last second and letting her tail drag in the waves.
Fire:*does tricks as he flies though the air trying to look handsome*
Ruby flew up to him so they were face to face," You know fire, I used to be scared of you. But now I-" She leaned her face in...and before they touched she fell backwards and flew down to the water again. All the while laughing silently.
Ruby flew to the cliffs and landed," Fire...Your gonna wanna look at this..." Her voice was hollow.
The forest below was ablaze in deep blue fire. Smoke curled into the sky while animals ran out of the woods in terror. Small flying shapes in the distance blew flames from their mouths.
She looked at the small flying shapes in the distance," Who are those dragons??"
Three blue dragons look up at fire. One says," Hey! Slow down bud!"
The dragon pointed a claw at himself," Im skylar, and were just doing our job. Do you live here?"
The largest of the three laughed," HA! GOOD LUCK FINDING A NEW HOME!" He breathed a spurt of blue flame at fire.
The largest laughed and flew a little farther, and breathed another tree on fire.
Ruby growled at him. Skylar shook his head," Sorry.. If there is a problem you'll have to travel to our kings palace to speak with him."
Ruby looks at Skylar," King? I've never heard of some dragon king.."
Skylar smiled," Follow me then. I'll take you to him." He winked at Ruby," Let's go pretty girl. Oh and you too." He said to Fire.
Ruby flew up next to Skylar," Why did your king order you to burn our forest?"
Skylar smiled too sweetly at her," He wants us to make room for more of his palaces. Ruby looked at him confused," More than one palace?? That's over-kill!"
Skylar looked slightly offended," No.."
Ruby looks at fire," Fire what do you think?"
Ruby shot him a look that read," Really??"
Skylar laughed," Heh young love.." He pushed Ruby farther ahead and stayed back with Fire," What's your name boy?"
Skylar laughed," A *dragon* named after his breath weapon? How childish. Well fire just to let you know I could have your little girlfriend wrapped around my talon by the end of the day if i really wanted too. But right now..I dont. So keep your jaw shut because were nearing the palace."
fire:*laughs*yeah right *picks up his speed and walks next to ruby*
Skylar,Ruby and Fire walk out into a meadow..where a large blue and silver place sat. Lamps had blue fire that made the walls seem cold and icy," Welcome!" Skylar announced.
Skylar smirks and puts and wing around Ruby," Come on.. I'll show you around." He leads them through large silver gates leading to the front doors. He knocked twice before a voice said," Who goes there?" "Skylar and guests." the door creaked open and the three stepped inside.
The hall had tall ceilings, with paintings of blue flames and large palaces. The floor was sleek stone and a silver rug lead them down the hall. Skylars wing was still around ruby.. she didn't seem to notice and was staring up at the paintings. Skylar smirked at fire again.
Ruby looks at fire," Calm down... we just have to speak to this king guy and leave. " She shakes Skylar's wing off and walks back to fire," Then we can go home." She smiles and walks with him.
