You don't aplogtoze because the other person feels bad. You apologize because what you did was wrong and hurt someone and you regret what you did. you see that it was bad and you want them to know that you now know that you shouldn't have done it. If they choose to forgive you, that's a plus, but don't wait around or demand it. It's their choice, and you don't get to bug them about it. If you onlyy want their forgiveness, but do not regret your actions or feel they were wrong, don't apologize, it's an empty gesture and you are njot the good guy for it.
