It seems like you shaded using a dull color, making it look a bit unappealing
Well that was what colour the reference had, but I actually agree

So I really like this anim, the shadings nice, and the angle is really cool. I like how it resembles the scene from the SU movie, but with your own spin on it.
One thing I would have changed is the lighting. Adding more shines to Spinelle's foot. Since theirs a lot of shading, it would be nice if it was contrasted by more lighting.
But other than that I thinks its already really good on it's own! :D
