I'm thinking after Passion got corrupted, she thought the person who did it was Toxin. She went after him and after he escaped to the mountins, he met Nina. Nina traveled with him until they found Splash, Splash trained Toxin as Nina left to connect with her ability out in the wild. After Nina came back they were done training. But Passion had been watching and waiting for her moment to strike as she built an army of models under her control. Out of ideas for the moment now :/
