LinkHEY YOU! YES YOU, PERSON IDLY SCROLLING THROUGH THE RECENT COMMENTS FEED!
you live in the US, right? Well, if you do, there is a major issue that’s will affect all of us being voted on THIS THURSDAY. It’s Net Neutrality, the law that prevents ISPs from slowing down specific connections and treating the entire internet as neutral. These laws are trying to be repeated by Ajit Pai and his ugly coffee mug, the current chairman of the FCC and former Verizon lawyer. Fortunately, it hasn’t been repealed yet. There’s still time!! We have two days to convince one of the Yes votes in the FCC to switch to a No vote to save Net Neutrality!
The site battleforthenet.com is a good resource for finding protests in your area, how to contact your Congress people and the FCC, and learning more about why you should care about the issue.
I know most of you are under 18 and can’t do anything, but you can convince others to do something!

LinkWell then ob bio Isley this wouldn’t apply
Unless you use subscription services like Netflix in which case removal of Net Neutrality may cause higher rates because they need to pay ISPs to ame their site neutral

Okay you might be misunderstanding
The FCC (federal communications commission, its American) is trying to repeal Net Neutrality which makes it law that all of the internet service providers must treat every website as equal. That means no one can slow down or prevent access to FlipAnim, facebook, or Netflix. Every website has to be equal in the eyes of the providers. If net neutrality is removed, the internet could become like cable TV. Where you have to pay for specific packs or channels (sites) to use them. Obviously, this is pretty terrible and could cripple schools, businesses, and people trying to get their voices out there and communicate with others.
It’s like
Imagine that you couldn’t use any social network or video service until you paid a monthly fee to our internet service provider
That’s probably the future with no protection on the internet from net neutrality. Right now we have title 2 protection which is the strongest law, we used to have title 1 which is still protection just with more loopholes, and the FCC plans to remove all protection
