Linkhow does it even work on here...? I dunno how the people do it here. I don't even come up with enough OC's to let people adopt them LOL
So basically, you usually post an anim with the adult drawn on it to get people to adopt it, you can do this a few ways;
As an egg- once someone chooses the egg, you can "hatch" it whenever you want and draw and post the hatched version, that way it's more of a surprise to the person who adopted the egg (usually you draw the egg with a theme like fire or something to hint that it'll probably be a fire themed oc)
Grown- drawing them as is, as an adult usually, so they know exactly what they're getting
OTA- Offer To Adopt: meaning they offer an oc to trade for yours
FCFS- First Come First Serve: the first person who says they want the oc, gets it
NFCFS- You decide who gets the oc
To adopt-
To adopt an OTA adopt you offer a good designed oc to trade
To adopt a FCFS you just gotta say you want it first
To adopt a NFCFS they'll usually pick someone who draws the species of the adopt often and is consistent with drawing their ocs, to make sure the oc will get used
