Just because you were introduced to someone as male/female does not mean it's okay for you to continue using those pronouns (and dead names) if they transition! You're friends with them? Great! Respect your friend by validating them! I have seen multiple people disregard gender identity and prefered pronouns just because they knew the person as a different gender originally. The whole point is they are no longer identifying as that gender! Okay weird rant over.
