In the Intergalactic Arcosian Empire, every royal family member, at the age of 7, must undergo a test of their loyalty to the empire and its goal to take control of the galaxy. these tests can range from killing selected prisoners of war, to destroying entire planets. If a royal family member fails the test, or refuses to take it, their name will be stripped from them, and banished to imprisonment on a planet known as Vall-9, on the edge of the Milky Way, until they die. But those who succeed are injected with a special serum that grants them the ability to transform into three different forms at will, and sometimes a lesser strain of the serum is given to lower soldiers and generals who have proven their worth. These forms are each powerful and unique for every Arcosian, granting different appearances and abilities. But only the royals are granted the three forms, while soldiers and generals are only granted one.
