Likes-sketching, though ne never finishes his drawings (realism drawings)- cooking-sleep (he a depressed boi ;-;)
Dislikes- hugs/being touched in general-receiving help from people (stubborn as hell)
Extra- Jung is well, depressed, recently turning 19 and not being able to take his mother's constant nagging for him to take his medication for his depression, he moved from korea here, he works at a convenient store everyday at the counter, though he never smiles and isn’t a very welcoming person he got the job solely because he’s, well, attractive, he spends most of his time (when he’s off) asleep or sketching, he speaks fluent english with a slight korean accent though it’s not very noticeable

LinkQuestion, shouldn’t his whole name be something like Kim Jungil, Min Jungil or since Jung can sometimes be a common last name for Koreans shouldn’t it just be il?

Jung:*he's finishing unboxing some photos after just moveing in, the house was strangly cheap, and he'd look in the bottom of the box* ...*creasing his eyebrows he sees the medication he is supposed to be takeing, his mother must have slipped it in, he drops it in the trash and flops in his bed, stairing at the celing*
Jung:*he hears it and looks to the can for a moment, sitting up he stairs at it, shrugging he looks back at the floor ahead of him, getting a gmail that he's been accepted to work at a convineant store walking distance from the house he'd read it, turn off his phone and stair at the ground ahead of him for a moment*
Jung:*his alarm goes off and he gets up, but there's a notification that someone's filling in for him, he groans and walks to the kitchen to get some cereal, looking over to see the dishes done he looks around a bit, slowly going to grab the cereal box and pours it in a clean bowl

i'm starting over with my characters from Vesta to most recent, so any other characters i've made before are now just irrelevant drawings, and I'm going to stop at him, this is my main cast of characters now (I think), now setting him apart from "most Koreans" is a bit...e, so I like to think of him as a bit of a reject for not keeping up with not only grades and barley graduating high school but Korea has a very strict culture, that he dosen't abide by, another reason why he moved
Yeah but the thing is... he’s really plain. An OC is supposed to be set apart from other characters so that they’re like, actually interesting. Hate to break it to you, but he looks like you just found a random kid on the street and made him into an oc.. like, cmon. Make some unexpected qualities like, even a defining feature? Something as small as a piece of clothing you could recognise him by? A ****in, bow in the hair at very least? I’m not trying to be mean at all so don’t attack me, and I’m not attacking you, but I don’t see why you’d expect likes and shit that’s sorta boring.
I know you're not trying to attack me and nor am I attacking you, you're trying to give me constructive criticism, so thank you for that, but I plan to add more defining traits in the future, as of now i'm just a 13 year old kid screwing around with drawing stuff, and if I like the drawing I turn it into a character, not for likes or for the public, this is just like a notebook to me, so they're really just for rps wich is why they die out so fast, I don't have a solid grasp on my style right now so that's my main priority, i'll take it into consideration though and try a bit more with my next character, thank you
Aight thanks Gillian, I’d suggest maybe you could maybe exaggerate his face a little bit like a caricature? He’s depressed so maybe toy around with that in the facial expression by making him look comically sad. Even if you make him plain, make him really mundane, like maybe make everything a shade of grey? It’s all about exaggeration.
i saw the title, my first assumption was that he was a kpop oc (yes they exist)
