Seeing the flipanim community genuinely improve with handling predators on this site has made me extremely happy

I know that seems dumb of me to say but there was once a day where people didn't gaf beyond making dumb slander art

And I personally feel like that's an improvement even if it could've been done sooner it's still an improvement of some kind especially for a community of mostly younger people that has just been deteriorating for years now I think it's something that should've been improved on sooner but I m just glad it even improved to begin with

Idk I just feel it's important to take a situation especially a situation involving predators harming children extremely serious and flipanim not even just flipanim if I'm being honest but its always had a very bad habit of putting the aspect of making a joke out of situation first rather than taking it seriously

Not even just flipanim people still prioritized making jokes out of the esptien and diddy situations first and foremost before even taking it seriously and that's a really nasty habit I've seen in people

Oh yeah people don't seem to realize that making jokes out of predators while the situation is still ongoing doesn't take power away from the predator or make the predator feel bad if anything it's actively giving them power and further endangering vulnerable or impressionable minors

This Has happened multiple times on this site I know because I've witnessed it up close and personal

If anything all people are doing by making jokes is actively making the predator seem like less of the threat trolling looks fun to impressionable kids they're going to want to troll that predator therefore actively putting them in the space of that predator therefore actively endangering that kid

How people expect this to take power away from the predator when all its doing is making the predators actions seem like a joke so when the predator goes on to victimize a kid the kid doesn't even realize what's happening to them and laughs at It I swear some people just involve themselves in situations just to have a heeheehaha giggle
