Does it happen without intention, is it gradual? Is it controlled? Is this comparable to things like tulpas?
Is it basically sharing a consciousness with a character? I took time to look at what “Endo” really meant in its full light, as well as systems and fronting.
It’s caused by trauma, specifically dissociative trauma. Dissociative because you’re creating alters and a system, you believe in plurality and being multiple different people
mostly it happens without intention but sometimes i need to step back and let someone else take the lead. no its not like tulpas because my alters are a part of me and my brain.
i dont share a consciousness with a character. if youre talking about fictives its basically like my alters share the name and has a 'faceclaim' of that character. they are very similar but rarely the exact same.
also everyones experience is different. if its always caused by trauma how am i diagnosed if the doctors recognize i dont have any trauma severe enough for me to split into a plural?
I’ve NEVER seen anything like this ever. And it’s so reasonable for people to question. One thing is I do apologize for the name calling, mockery, and just making fun of it. It’s easy to just say whatever when you’re confused

As far as I read about it, there doesn’t have to be a specific reason for why someone makes a plurality, it could just happen. For example like how people with bpd separate from themselves because nobody would understand them.
And to be honest, I haven’t seen anyone talk about how being Endos, having pluralitys is controversial. It might seem like it’s comparable to DID, but im not sure. The human brain is too complex to put factual labels on certain things not everyone knows about or researches about, or even studies
