While drawing this, I was originally gonna give it a much more bitter caption-- with my character wearing a sad expression. But as I went through the coloring, giving Murasaki's lips that pop of color as my persona is doing... I found joy in such a sour undertone. The original caption would've been "If only I were as perfectly crafted." or something along those lines. But Murasaki isn't perfect. None of my characters are perfect. All of them share my characteristics. All of them share a piece of me, and I couldn't be prouder to represent that, even if nobody but me will ever notice. I don't know why I got all sappy all of a sudden. I've been kinda down lately. I probably needed this drawing; to remember my love for these characters. Because they're my children, my friends, my family. They're me in every shape and color I can imagine. And that's a beautiful thing to me. 😌 Love you guys. Please stay well out there.
