Pet Sematary is one of Stephen King's creepiest novels. I would suggest reading that one to get your blood pumping.
The movie, I'm sure, won't compare to the book, so if you read Pet Sematary first, then you'll not be so afraid of the movie. Unless the fear is an adrenaline for you ig.
If you choose to read either Carrie or The Shining, I think you should read Carrie first: it's Stephen King's first novel. I think that'd be really fun to read, if you're a fan of his work
Yeah that’s why I was contemplating which one because Carrie was his first novel. I saw the 1980s movie for The Shining so I feel like I know it a bit (even though King hated that movie) I was looking for Pet Sematary when I was at the book store but they didn’t have it so I only got these two. I’m definitely going to check it out eventually. I read It first because my friend had read it and gave it to me while winking mysteriously and now I’m hooked on the characters lol
