Just some anatomy points to remember, put in bullets because they wouldn't work as a paragraph. - They can breathe both water and air, they have a regular nose and gills on the side of their necks. - They have webbed fingers and toes, which makes some fine motor skills difficult - They have fins on their ears to help them pick up sounds underwater. It also enhances their hearing on land. - They're shorter than the average person, with muscular legs - Though they have wings, they are not capable of flight. Their wings serve to propel them through water much like flippers on someone's feet/fins on a fish.

- They have 2 skin tones: a base skin tone and a more "unnatural" skin tone they call the "sae" (sea) skin tone. The base skin tone has a lot to do with where they live. Near the equator will be darker but still not very dark because nowhere on the bottom of the ocean gets a lot of sun. Up north they're very pale because summer is so short. The ones that live on land have a range of skin tones like humans. The sae tone is a blue or green tone of any sort that appears at the areas that would normally be blushed. This is joints, ears, ends of fingers and toes. Their fins are also this color and their wings are often a little iridescent with this color. - their eyes are a sea-type color like their hair (hair colors discussed in the hair/clothes post)
