Miles carefully watched from behind a tree, his small tufted tail swishing.

Tilting his head, he stepped forward, but his hooves crunched loudly on the surrounding leaves.

Nervous, he quickly dove back behind the tree, pressing his back up against it and flattened his ears.
"Are you gonna hurt me?"
He thought of running, but no, that'd be stupid.
Slowly, he revealed himself, hooves shifting on the ground, his hoodie just barely covering his ears.

"Well uh, I'm M-miles, and I come here to get away from everyone."
He stuttered over his words, scraping at the ground and huffing slightly.
Scout: w-well you are lucky. In my town I am surrounded by kids everyone I come back from expeditions.

His voice trailed off and he stared at the forest floor, his face red.
