but like during the past few months rope man's child ad gotten like, horribly sick
which was stressing rope man tf out
and so your oc went to visit him one day,
they couldn't find him so they looked around his house until they found him in the secret study room, at his desk, his face laying on the desk and he's just, miserable

he waits for rope addict to clean the water up before going back to sweeping the glass up
he finishes sweeping the glass up and throws it in the trash and puts the broom away going back to rope addict, he hugs him.
